Taxpayer Alert – Oct to Dec 2020 Instalment Activity Statement

Back

It has come to our attention that the ATO stopped issuing paper instalment activity statements (IAS) for the December 2020 quarter, following the decommissioning of an old ATO system.

Unfortunately the ATO had not provided an alternative notification system before the decision to halt paper notifications was made. Therefore some taxpayers have not been notified of the instalment tax for the Dec 2020 quarter.

If you had been receiving quarterly IAS in the past but have not received December quarter IAS, please access the statements via your myGov account/business portal, or contact this office. The December quarter instalment payment is due on 2nd March 2021.

The good news is the ATO have confirmed that they will send out paper notifications for future quarterly instalments until they can implement a digital solution.
